The City of Angels Experience

 

Students are assigned a weekly appointment day and time when enrolled.  Your appointment is for one hour.  During this time, your teacher will review and assess your work from the previous week and assign new work to be completed by your next appointment date.  Students need to be on time for their appointment or call their teacher to schedule a new appointment. Four missed assignments or consistently substandard work will require an evaluation to determine if independent study is the best educational placement at this time. The maximum time allowed between the assignment date and the due date shall be six weeks or 30 school days.

 

Students are normally assigned three classes at a time.  You are expected to complete at least six classes per semester.  For each class, your teacher gives you a weekly guide that details what you need to do. 

 

Students need to spend as much time in the completion of schoolwork as is required in the regular school of attendance, 30 hours per week, if they expect to earn 30 credits per semester.  Students may earn up to 40 credits per semester.

 

Students have the opportunity to take some or all of their classes online.  Students may take online courses with their regular City of Angels teacher.  See your City of Angels teacher for more information.  

 

Only students enrolled at City of Angels can take our online courses; we do not offer single courses for students enrolled at other public schools.
